A MAN was taken to hospital after suffering a head injury in an assault in the street this afternoon.
West Yorkshire Police said the 27-year-old was assaulted in Cavendish Road, Eccleshill, by three males at around 2.30pm.
An ambulance was called and he was taken to hospital for treatment but his injuries are not believed to be serious.
A spokesman for the police said a cordon was placed near the junction of Park Road and Cavendish Road and was removed at around 8pm this evening.
They said inquiries were continuing.
