Police helicopter joins search of 'open areas' amid concern for male
The police helicopter was scrambled to help in the search for a missing pensioner.
The helicopter crew assisted in last night's hunt for Peter Silson, focusing on "open areas" between Otley and Yeadon.
The force helicopter was deployed at around 9.30pm.
Mr Silson, 80, was reported missing from Yeadon on Saturday morning.
Police said they launched tonight's operation after "concerns were raised for a local male."
West Yorkshire Police officers are today continuing their enquiries.
