Two brothers, aged 14 and 16, have been arrested in Bradford.
Police attended an address in the city yesterday and arrested a 16-year-old boy on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
While at the address, officers found a quantity of suspected drugs in what is believed to be the boy's shared bedroom.
Enquiries revealed that the drugs were suspected to belong to his 14-year-old brother, who was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis.
"Both were taken to the custody area and they have been charged for these offences," said a statement on a police Facebook page and confirmed by a police spokesman today.
Turning to the wider situation, the police statement added that there was currently a "massive issue" with regard to reports of underage youths driving illegally and being involved in suspected drugs offences.
The statement concluded: "We need your help, please ring 101 or approach any officer with any information you can provide."
