TWO teenage brothers have been arrested after police spotted them driving erratically and performing "donuts" in a supermarket car park and running red lights.

Officers from the Toller and Manningham wards were patrolling around Girlington yesterday (Wednesday) when they saw the car being driven at a dangerous speed.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "The vehicle was seen to enter Morrisons car park and cause skid marks whilst attempting donuts. The vehicle then drove off at speed through three red lights.

"Officers recognised the 15-year-old driver and after putting out a radio broadcast the driver was located on foot in Girlington Road, Bradford, after abandoning the car.

"He was arrested for dangerous driving, no licence and no insurance."

Police said the driver's 16-year-old brother was also located nearby and arrested for a separate theft of motor vehicle offence he was allegedly linked to.

The spokesman added: "Underage youths driving illegally and committing thefts/burglaries is a massive issue in the Girlington area at present and we know it's affecting local residents.

"Please ring 101 or approach any officer with any information you can provide."
