Just when you thought you'd seen it all on Bradford's roads, commuters this morning couldn't believe their eyes to see HORSES running loose on the busy ring road.
About a dozen of the animals ran loose for at least two miles during this morning's rush hour.
The animals were spotted at 9.20am by a motorist who told the T&A: "There were about 10 or 12 of them on the dual carriageway by Asda. It looked like they'd maybe been running up and down for a while as there was horse mess all over the road."
Reader Jack Streetly sent us more pictures and also shot this footage of a dozen horses veering across a grass verge to cross from one carriageway to the other in Odsal.
The horses were pictured on Rooley Lane, near the junction with Newhall Way that is nearer to Asda, and were brought under control almost two miles away outside the Drop Kick pub, on Huddersfield Road, Low Moor.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said the horses were reported to them at about 9.05am, with witnesses claiming there were between eight and 15 of the animals.
He added that the horses were brought under control at about 9.55am.
