A MAN is in hospital with a stab wound and a serious head injury after a disturbance in Wilsden last night.

A forensic tent was in place until early afternoon today at the address in Victoria Street following the incident.

The door to a house had been smashed open by police, and blood stains could be seen on the doorframe and doorstep.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said officers were called to the address at 9.08pm on Thursday, April 6.

He said: "Police were called after a disturbance was reported in Victoria Street, Wilsden.

"The caller mentioned that three people had been seen running off towards Albert Street.

"Officers attended and found what was believed to be blood close to a house in Victoria Street.

"Entry was forced to the property which was found to be empty, although signs of a struggle were found inside.

"A 26-year-old man later attended hospital with a stab wound and a serious head injury, neither of which were thought to be life threatening.

"He is currently in hospital in a stable condition."

Enquiries are continuing in the area today to establish the circumstances and anyone who can assist this investigation is asked to contact Bradford District CID on 101, quoting log 1734 of April 6.
