TWO men have been arrested following a firearms-related operation that took place in Wibsey last night.
Armed police were deployed to the area after receiving information related to the use of firearms.
One 26-year-old man was arrested following a vehicle stop in St Enoch's Road at about 8pm, and another man, also 26, was arrested in Draughton Street a short time later.
Police also search a property in Melba Road.
Both men remain in custody while inquries continue.
Last night, the West Yorkshire Police force duty officer revealed it was a routine response and was "not related to terrorism."
