Staff from Bradford College have raised more than £675 for the National Autistic Society after taking part in the charity’s night walk in Manchester at the weekend.

The team of five, headed by Lisa Dryden, the college’s first learning support tutor for autistic spectrum conditions, were among hundreds of fundraisers taking part in sponsored walks in Manchester, Bristol and London.

The group had set themselves a target of raising £500 but manage to raise £675 in online donations on completing the walk, with more money still to be counted.

Joining Lisa on the 5km trek through the city centre were Estelle French, Jodie Morrow, Jenna Gill and Leanne Mackie.

The fundraiser was a key event in the college’s support of World Autism Awareness Week. Other events included a bake sale, information stall and a performance by an autism drama group.

Donations in support of the college team’s efforts can still be made online at nas-night-walks-for-autism-2017.everydayhero.com/uk/bradford-college.
