CREATIVITY, colour, music and blooms brought Bradford to life at a Wild Woods event in the city centre.
As part of the Creative Streets festival, the former Marks & Spencer store in Darley Street was transformed into a mystical wonderland.
Wild Woods in Bloom included Bollywood and Bhangra dance performances from Punjabi Roots, live music from the Mind the Gap Band, a mobile herbarium to learn about foraged wild food finds from across Bradford, a wild food buffet, arts and crafts, face-painting and story-telling.
Asma Ali, mum of Zara, two, and Zainab, five (below, left), of Fairweather Green, said: “It is a really good concept. It is nice to see something like this in Bradford.”
Organiser Rosie Freeman, of arts group The Brick Box, said: “The aim is to create a positive atmosphere. It is bringing life to Darley Street.”
