PEOPLE have been urged to get their trainers on and take part in this year’s Race for Life in Bradford.

The 5k event will take place on Sunday, May 7, from 10.30am, at Lister Park, North Park Road.

Race entrance is £14.99 for girls between 16 and 17 and women aged 18 or over.

Girls aged between six and 15 pay £10 and boys aged between six and 12, will be charged £10.

Entrance for boys and girls aged six and under is free and no registration is needed. All proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.

More than 1,200 people took part in last year’s run in the city, as Bradford Grammar School pupil Grace Dawson, 12, crossed the finishing line first in 19 minutes and 32 seconds
