APOLOGIES for returning to the issue of Brexit/Scexit so soon but the triggering of Article 50 makes it unavoidable, mainly because it has given Nicola Sturgeon another chance to air her separatist obsession.
What seems to be lacking in the debate at present is an acknowledgement that Scotland leaving the UK and staying in Europe would mean the creation of a physical boundary with England because there will have to be a way to prevent free trade. With Ms Sturgeon fiddling with a referendum while Rome (in the shape of education and health) burns, the idea of a new-look Hadrian’s Wall is looming.
Perhaps Mrs May needs to start quoting Emperor Donald: “We are going to build a wall, such a wall. And the Scots are going to pay for it. Oh, yes. Pay for it.” That should soon sort it...
