RYDEN Hindle (Keelham Primary School) has been crowned Yorkshire under-nine boys' cyclo-cross champion.
The Thornton youngster, who rides for Shibden Cycling Club, took the title in an entry of 31 at the British Schools' Cycling Association Regional Championships at Spen Valley High School in Liversedge.
Third was Ruaridh Aylward of All Saints, Otley.
The Bradford area took a 1-2-3 in the under-seven boys' category, with Eddie Thornton (Eastburn Junior & Infants) winning ahead of Charlie Albone (Glusburn Primary) and Jacob Harrison (Wibsey Primary), while Noah Ellison (Oxenhope Church of England Primary) won the under-11 boys, while Oliver Barker (Eldwick Primary) was third.
Parkside School had medallists in both the under-15 boys and over-15 boys, with Ciaren Crabtree taking silver in the younger age group and brother Olly Crabtree bronze in the older age group.
Other bronze medallists were Hipperholme Grammar's Harry Ellison (under-13 boys) and Will Thompson (Brighouse High) in the under-15 boys, while Thomas Radcliffe (Horsforth School) took silver in the over-15 boys.
