SIR - There were two further articles in the T&A (March 13) which involved applications for retrospective planning permission.
These applications seem to be happening with great regularity, and perhaps it is now time for retrospective applications to be charged very substantially more than for normal applications.
This is surely necessary to concentrate the minds of cavalier applicants who obviously carry on regardless without considering what permissions are required before any work is commenced.
