THE Ivegate entrance to the Sunbridge Wells undergrounds bar and shop development could soon undergo an upgrade. Owner Graham Hall has applied for permission to install a canopy made of metal and glass, "to protect the access stairs from the elements," over the entrance beneath Coral bookmakers, which leads to the Laurel & Hardy bar. A decision on the application will be made next month.
