ORGANISERS of this year’s Baildon Carnival are looking for more people to get involved after announcing a bumper number of attractions.
This year’s carnival will take place on Saturday, July 8, at Baildon Rugby Club, on Jenny Lane, for a fourth time since being revived in 2014, with hundreds of people expected to attend.
Peter Ashton, chairman of the event’s organising committee, said: “This year we are pleased to be welcoming back the popular terrier racing, live music, plus also a tug of war, army assault course, pony rides and even axe throwing.
“We hope there is something for everyone alongside our usual stalls and the funfair.”
He added: “We are busy putting the programme together; we print 2,500 of these which are distributed to all the local schools.”
