A SERIES of images highlighting the regeneration of Bradford will be broadcast on City Park’s Big Screen starting on Saturday.

Local photographer Shy Burhan spent several weeks snapping images of the centre, documenting the wider experience of the city. The focus was on the ‘top of town,’ including Darley Street and North Parade, where she says regeneration work is happening organically, as well as the area around City Park.

Included in the images are examples of how some high profile buildings have recently been used by arts groups, including The Brick Box and Cecil Green Arts on Darley Street, and independent businesses like The Pavillion.

Miss Burhan said: “I’ve seen how arts groups have been taking over empty buildings and helping regenerate things organically. It had to be about the people, and the footfall into these areas of the city.”

A series of 15 images will be shown on the screen two to three times a day at random times for the next two months, with the first showing at 11am on Saturday.
