THREE optometrists from an optician’s in Brighouse are among the first to pass a new professional qualification from Bradford University.
Richard Sellers, Oliver Sewell and Robert Foulds (pictured from left), of Donovan Smith Opticians, were part of the first intake to complete a course aimed at providing optometrists with cutting-edge expertise on the symptoms, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma.
Their professional certificates in glaucoma have come just in time for World Glaucoma Week this week, which aims to raise awareness of the condition.
Mr Foulds, optometrist and director of the firm, said: “I’m really proud of the team for all their hard work in achieving this sought-after qualification.
“We look forward to using our new clinical expertise to help our local community, and work with hospitals to improve glaucoma care across the county.”
