ELVIS will be in the building this month for a popular annual fundraising night in aid of Manorlands.

Elvis Presley impersonator Dave Gracelands and the Passionettes are among performers at the March 11 event.

They headline what promises to be a diverse array of local talent including dance groups and other singers.

Bradford company Lill Brothers Fishmerchants is spearheading the organisation of the social night at the city’s Central Division Working Men’s Club.

Staff, friends and volunteers from the company, together with other Bradford businesses, have held the event successfully for a number of years.

A spokesman said: “Year on year this event grows in popularity as people of all ages, religions, and backgrounds come together for a night of spectacular entertainment.

“Following the success of last year’s event which raised over £3,500, organisers were keen to do a repeat performance with a view to raising even more money for the local hospice.”

Manorlands fundraiser Harriet Wood said last year’s event made an overwhelming impact on the local community and was incredible to witness.

She added: “It was clear to see that no matter what your age, religion, or background, it was mutually recognised that these life limiting illnesses don’t discriminate.”
