KEIGHLEY is again hosting a competition to choose performers for Bingley Music Live.

The Emerging Talent heats will be hosted by Keighley Musicians Centre at its Exchange Arts Centre on Russell Street.

Bingley Music Live, which is held every September in Myrtle Park, gives main-stage slots to local bands and singers to support the headlining big-name artists.

The Bradford Council-run festival has adopted the same format as previous years for the contest, which will run over April and May.

Applications will be whittled down to a shortlist of 24 artists/bands that will be drawn into four heats.

One act from each heat will go through to play in the final and will be joined by four other acts from across the heats. Four acts will be chosen from the eight finalists to play at the festival.

All winning acts will be determined by a panel of judges.

Visit exchangearts.co.uk/emerging-talent-competition-2017 for further information and an application form. The closing date is March 22 at 5pm.
