A BRADFORD-born Government official in Brazil has been promoted.
Wasim Mir, 45, who moved to Brazil in June 2014, was initially the deputy head of mission to the British Ambassador to Brazil.
But he has now been appointed as the acting ambassador in the South American country and will hold the role until June.
The former student at the former Rhodesway School, Allerton, said: “I lead a team of 250 staff spread across six cities.
“It has been a busy but exciting time for me.”
