SIR - “We need peace and harmony over EU vote”,  (Alan Chapman, T&A letters, February 20).

Mr Chapman criticises those who won’t accept the “democratic decision of the British people”.  If the 28 percent of the population who voted for Brexit are “the people”, who are the other 72 per cent who did not?

When the excrement hits the fan, as it inevitably will, it will become all-too-obvious that “the people”, (certainly not in separatist Scotland and Northern Ireland), either did not vote for Brexit or, given all the lies surrounding the Referendum, felt unqualified to judge and did not vote for Brexit.

Either way, they did not vote for Brexit. I hope that is clear.  I cannot stress enough, they did not vote for Brexit!

Save your “peace and harmony” until we truly need it, especially in a strife-torn Northern Ireland.
