A BRADFORD based catering equipment firm has expanded its site with a new warehouse as it continues its growth strategy.

Victor Manufacturing, based in Gibson Street, Laisterdyke, now has increased storage capacity thanks to the new warehouse.

This has allowed the company to speed up how quickly customers’ orders can be dispatched and has also improved new product development.

Victor manufactures catering equipment which keeps hot food hot and cold food cold, and also specialises in designed and building bespoke counters for businesses.

These custom counters can be found at a number of catering sites around the UK, including at pub and restaurant groups and in schools.

The new warehouse has three tiers and 11,000 sq ft of space, and sales director Andrew Gibson, said customers are already reaping the benefits of the expansion, with Victor now able to dispatch almost 100 of its most popular products on the same day the order is received.

Mr Gibson said: “The existing buildings had become full, limiting our capacity.

“The new warehouse has freed up space to create more efficient production operations and additional space for new product development.

“We are now geared up for same-day dispatch any orders placed before 2pm, for the 90-plus most popular products we hold in stock.

“The expansion has also allowed for increased stock levels of popular products and extra capacity for new product development of equipment and custom counters suitable for the retail market sector.”

Along with the new warehouse, Victor has also invested in its workforce, taking on 15 extra staff in the last two years.

The growth in sales of bespoke counters has led to an additional project manager being recruited from within, and as a result Victor no on the look out for a new business development manager.

It is also planning to recruit an additional bespoke counters installation team.

“We are pleased that the targeting of identified growth markets, coupled with Victor’s quality and service, has led to demand for our custom counter service,” added Mr Gibson.

“The increased investment and warehouse expansion forms part of our strategic plan for year-on-year growth.

“Victor Manufacturing has been designing and building catering equipment in Britain for over 70 years.

“Our reputation sets us apart in the marketplace and we plan to continue our success looking ahead.”

Victor has installed bespoke custom counters at a wide range of venues around the UK, including armed forces bases, schools and museums, and in Bradford it installed new catering areas at St Luke’s Hospital and at Yorkshire Building Society.
