BRADFORD Council made almost £250,000 by selling off some of its buildings and land at a recent auction.
The Pugh property auction at Leeds United Football on Thursday included a number of Council-owned properties.
The biggest of the authority’s properties to sell was 26 Mayfield Terrace in Clayton, which went for the asking price of £180,000.
The empty office building, which includes a garden and garages, has also been used as a care home, and last year the Council obtained permission for the building to be converted into housing.
An end terrace, three-bedroom townhouse in Fagley, at 10 Whitehead Grove, sold for £62,000, and a plot of garden land at St Pauls Avenue in Wibsey sold for £6,000.
Bids for a Council-owned house off Thornton Old Road, 11 Crossley Hall Mews, did not reach the £70,000 asking price.
