A TEENAGER is in custody after a police chase ended with a "stinger" being deployed to stop the vehicle.
Last night police were involved in a chase with a black Seat Leon, passing through Shelf, Queensbury and Clayton.
The stinger, a spiked strip that is placed in the road to shred a vehicle's tyres, brought the chase to an end.
The 18 year old driver, from Halifax, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
After the arrest the police Roads Policing Unit Tweeted: "Long pursuit in Shelf/Queensbury/Clayton resulting in stinger getting deployed.
"Vehicle seized, driver arrested. Finally time for bed."
