EVENTS looking at the effects of air pollution in Bradford will be held in the city centre over the coming days.

The Air We Share, run by the National Centre for Atmospheric Science, takes place in City Park on Friday and Saturday.

The roadshow, from 10am to 3pm, will feature a solar powered lab, showing what’s in the air.

People will be able to take home and make their own pollution sensor, and see future pollution forecasts.

Before the roadshow, there will be an evening event tomorrow night involving talks by experts at Fuse Art Space on Rawson Place.

It will give people the chance to have a chat and a pint with these experts.

The evening runs from 7pm to 10pm. Talks include From Bradford to Beijing: The Air We Breathe by Stefan Swift from the University of York and The Air in Saltaire by Dr Kirsty Pringle from the University of Leeds.

The evening event runs from 7pm to 10pm.

The events are part of a roadshow that also stops in Leeds and York.

The centre is looking to find out what residents think makes the air polluted in their city, and what must be done to make the air cleaner.

Visitors will be asked to fill out a questionnaire at the different events, and results will be shared with local city councils and national bodies responsible for taking action to improve the air.
