A NUMBER of objects from Bradford’s Peace Museum have been loaned to the Imperial War Museum as part of a major new exhibition.
The London-based museum contacted the Bradford museum, the only one of its kind in the country, to exhibit items from its extensive collection, including banners from decades of protest marches.
Called People Power - Fighting for Peace, the exhibition opens next month and will run until August.
It explores the influence of peace movements on the perceptions of war and conflict and will take visitors on a journey from the First World War to present day.
The Bradford museum, based at Piece Hall Yard in the city centre, has artefacts from a variety of protests, include from the Greenham Common Peace camps, in its archives and on display.
The Imperial War Museum exhibition will open on Thursday, March 23, and runs until August 28.
