BRADFORD will host an annual conference on the issue of child sexual exploitation on Wednesday.

The eighth annual Yorkshire CSE Conference will be held at Bradford Academy in Bowling, and feature a talk by Anne Longfield, Children’s Commissioner for England, on “Protecting young people from harm.”

Independent safeguarding consultant Adele Gladman will also be giving a talk on the day, about CSE in Rotherham and its impact on the town.

There will also be 12 workshops through the day on a variety of issues including healthy relationships, gender diversity, trafficking,and the exploitation of children in rural areas, and those who attend will be able to sit in four of these workshops.

Since 2010 the BLAST Project, which deals with boys and young men who are sexually exploited, has hosted the conference with the aim of raising awareness of the grooming and sexual exploitation of children and young people.
