STAFF at an online learning company trekked and talked to raise funds for charity.

Virtual College, based in Ilkley, teamed up with mental health charity Mind, for a number of events designed to support and draw attention to physical and mental well-being.

Staff took part in a sponsored lunchtime ‘Mile for Mind Wellness Walk’ up Cowpasture Road to the cattle grid and back, with all proceeds going to Mind.

They also staged Time to Talk, a lunchtime drop-in event held for all Virtual College staff, using fun games to draw attention to how good it is to talk.

Other lunchtime activities held at Virtual College’s offices from local companies including Filmore & Union (with their nutritionist) – the healthy eating restaurant, the Valley Clinic, a multi-disciplinary clinic for therapies, Ilkley Complementary Therapies and Naturally Twisted, who run weekly local yoga classes.

The amount raised by Virtual College’s staff sponsored activities was doubled by the company to create a charitable donation to Mind of £600.
