A FOOTBALL fan who works in Bradford is helping to grow Huddersfield Town’s presence in the Asian community after being appointed as a club ambassador.

Mohammed Bhana’s role so far has seen him help create matchday posters and adverts in Hindu and Urdu.

Mr Bhana, who works for car firm Kahn Design, said: “I don’t know any other club that has actively reached out to the Asian community in such a way.

“A number of initiatives that have been set up recently, with the aim of engaging the Asian community, have been very well attended.

“Town has made it clear that it doesn’t matter what ethnicity you are, the only colours that matter are the ones on the club’s shirt.”

Mr Bhana came into contact with the Terriers when he took his son to a game thanks to club scheme to provide cheap tickets for youngsters.
