A DEFIBRILLATOR that can be used by the public has been installed in Queensbury.

It is on the side of the training hall at Queensbury Celtic Junior Football Club, on Pit Lane. The club teamed up with the Rotary Club of West Bradford and Lloyds Bank to fund it.

Sue Parnaby , of the club, said: “Anyone in the locality can access and use it: all they have to do is call 999 and the emergency service will provide details of the location, an access code and full instructions. No training is necessary.”

Rotary president Richard Greenwood added: “It’s wonderful to see a local sport club supporting and serving their community. Rotary is all about giving something back to local communities so we are delighted to be able to invest in this lifesaving resource.”
