A LARGE pile of flytipped goods was set on fire on waste ground in Bradford.
A crew from Fairweather Green was called to Princeville Road, Lidget Green, at 5.15am today.
Items including mattresses, wooden furniture and a fridge freezer were on fire on the land behind the Wickes DIY store.
Watch commander Peter Hanson, of Fairweather Green Fire Station, said: “It was a large fire. There was a lot of flytipping there.
“It took us a couple of hours to put out and took us away from life-risking incidents to deal with this flytipping.”
