A COFFEE giant have been given permission to open a new branch in a town shopping centre.
Costa Coffee were today granted planning permission to change the use of two empty units in the 5 Rise Shopping Centre in Bingley into a cafe.
As well as making alterations to units seven and eight b, the group were given permission to create an outdoor seating area.
The business would open from 6.30am to 8pm, and the company predicts it will create around 12 jobs.
Planning officers said the cafe: “will promote a competitive town centre that provides customer choice and a diverse retail offer.
“The nature of the proposed use is likely to encourage combined/linked trips to the surrounding retail uses.
