AN ANGRY motorist has condemned “mindless” yobs who doused her convertible sports car in white paint.

Julie Boyle, 45, saw her dark steel grey coloured MG F convertible car doused in the white gloss paint when it was parked in Jenny Lane, Baildon.

The yobs left a trail of paint on her vehicle, including on the bonnet, front windscreen, soft-top roof and back of the car.

She parked her car on Monday night in Jenny Lane, just around the corner from where she lives in East Parade.

Miss Boyle was told of the attack on her car by neighbours after she returned from work at around 4.30pm on Tuesday.

She said her neighbour told her that the paint was still wet on the car when she had spotted it at around 5.45am on Tuesday while walking her dog.

One of the car’s tyres was let down in the attack.

Miss Boyle says she may have to condemn her car to the scrap heap if she is unable to remove the paint - from its soft-top roof in particular.

Mother-of-one Miss Boyle said: “It’s senseless, mindless. It’s just awful. It’s completely ruined. I’m gutted.

“I have not got any enemies, I think it is mistaken identity.

“The car has just been annihilated. They have just poured the paint all over it.

“I’m not sure I can get all of the paint off the roof. The car might have to be scrapped.

“I was angry and upset when I first saw it. I was more annoyed when I saw it in the daylight.

“I am a single mum who works hard for everything I have got. I would say to the people who have done this ‘How dare you?’

“I just hope somebody never does anything like this to whoever has done this.

“I can’t understand why someone has that much hatred in them to do something like this. My car is worth about £600 or £700 and I have only had it since September last year.

“It’s a nice area where I live but there has been some criminal damage to cars with wing mirrors being kicked in.”

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said inquiries were continuing and that a record of criminal damage had been retained.
