AN insolvency practice has been nominated for a prestigious prize at a national awards ceremony.

Kingsland Business Recovery, based in Bolton Road, Bradford, has been shortlisted in the business of the year category at the British Muslim Awards.

They will battle against Smart Vehicle Options, based in Manningham Lane, Bradford; Riverdale Insurance; Aftabs (Birmingham); Northern Halal Meat; Ambala Foods; Nafees Bakers; Singlemuslim.com; Express Cuisine (Bolton) and Creams.

Kingsland, which also has offices in Birmingham and Nottingham and started trading in 2011, will find out if they have won the prize at the awards ceremony in Leicester on Wednesday, January 25.

The fifth British Muslim Awards aims to honour achievements in areas including business, charity, sport and arts and culture.

The finalists have been chosen following nominations from members of the public.

Other categories at the British Muslim Awards include power business of the year, businessman of the year, businesswoman of the year, leaders in finance, services to accounting category and best at sport. The awards are presented by Al Rayan Bank.
