Police officer taken to hospital after 'punched in face'
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm after a police officer was hurt intervening in a fight in City Park.
The man was arrested and alter bailed.
It happened outside The Turls pub at 10.25pm yesterday after an officer passing on patrol tried to break up a fight between two men.
The officer was repeatedly punched, said the police spokesman.
He added: "The officer was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary and was later released. His injuries were not serious but he was a bit battered and bruised."
