POLICE are continuing to appeal for to an attempted carjacking in Bradford which left a man requiring facial surgery.

Imran Tariq was attacked and beaten on Tuesday, November 29, as two men tried to drag him from his wife’s Audi Q3 in Little Germany.

Mr Tariq was repeatedly punched, resulting in fractures to his cheekbone, eye socket, nose and ribs.

He is due to have surgery this Thursday, the day before his 35th birthday.

Mr Tariq said his attackers were in a white Mercedes-Benz car which pulled out in front of him in Priestley Avenue at about 4.30pm.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman tonight urged anyone who witnessed the attack to contact the force via 101 quoting 13160712286.

The spokesman said: “Inquiries are continuing in relation to this particular incident, but we have arrested two men in connection with a carjacking in Idle. They are aged 19 and 21 and remain in custody.”
