A FORMER Bradford City striker has issued an appeal to find a stolen laptop containing important data for a coaching qualification.

Danny Cadamarteri, who played for City in two spells, wants to be reunited with his black Hewlett Packard after it was stolen during a burglary at his home in Tong.

His laptop, his wife’s handbag and his wallet containing some of his debit and credit cards and some cash were taken as he and his family were in the home at the time.

The laptop, given to him by Sheffield Wednesday where he is now an under 18s coach, featured data and research on players as he studies for his FA Advanced Youth Award.

This project, which he has spent the last six months on, was due to be submitted in January next year. The same month he would then start his pro licence qualification, as he aims to become a fully-qualified coach.

But after it was stolen, Mr Cadamarteri cannot submit his work and faces waiting a further 12 months to start his Pro Licence course. His wallet and most of his cards were later found around the Toftshaw lane/Tong cemetery area.

The burglary took place at around 2am on Tuesday, November 15, at his home in Tong.

Mr Cadamarteri, 37, said: “It’s frustrating that the laptop has been stolen. It is a bit of a blow.

“There has been a lot of research and time collecting the data for my qualification. A lot of evidence on it. There is video footage from games as well.

“If I get my laptop back, I still have time to successfully complete the course.

“The information on the laptop is very important to me.”

The laptop features an apple logo sticker to cover up the hp logo and a Sheffield Wednesday club badge on the desktop screen.

Two youths were arrested on Friday on suspicion of burglary in the city. A West Yorkshire Police spokesman could not confirm if the laptop had also been recovered or not.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Two males, aged 17 from Bradford were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

“Enquiries are continuing.”

Mr Cadamarteri played for the Bantams in two spells, between 2002 and 2004 and from 2004 to 2005. He also played for Everton, Huddersfield Town and England under 21s.
