A MAN has died after being found collapsed in the street.
Police were called by ambulance staff at 5.16am to Thornton Road, close to Fairweather Green Fire Station.
The man, believed to be around 50-years-old, was pronounced dead a short time later.
Earlier this morning, a West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: "Enquiries are at a very early stage, but the death is not believed to be suspicious at this time.
"Part of Thornton Road has been closed to allow enquiries to continue and people are asked to avoid the area this morning."
The road is now reported to have reopened and bus routes are no longer being diverted.
Thornton Road has now re-opened, there is still heavy traffic causing delays to the service. 607 and 615 have now resumed normal route.

Witnesses contacted the Telegraph & Argus to report part of the road was sealed off and a white forensics tent had been put up.
There were five police cars at the scene.
A woman who works in a nearby sandwich shop said she arrived at 6.30am to start work and saw the police activity.
"The tent is actually on a path outside some houses on the other side to the fire station but just a bit further up," she added.
"The police cordon is right across Thornton Road. It's chaos. Buses and artics are having to turn round. No one can get through."
