DETECTIVES in Kirklees are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed of several thousands of pounds in a bank and a second man assaulted and robbed of his van while he worked.
The first incident happened between 12 noon and 12:15pm at a bank in Albion Street, in Cleckheaton, on Tuesday.
A security man walked into the bank carrying several thousand pounds in cash.
He was approached by two male suspects who assaulted him and stole the money and fled the scene in a dark blue Mini with black alloy wheels.
The second incident, believed to be linked to the first, occurred in Burnley Mills Road, in Gomersall, at around 12:50pm on the same day.
A man was putting up signs in the road when he was assaulted and his Renault panel van stolen. It left in the direction of Spen lane.
The first suspect is described as a white male, stocky build and around 5ft 6”, the second male was described as white, skinny build and around 5ft. Anyone with information to ring 101 with crime number 13160511074.
