POLICE investigating the murder of a man during a disturbance over a football in a Bradford park have made two new arrests.

The Bradford men, aged 20 and 26, were arrested this morning on suspicion of the murder of Beyake Keita Ann, 21, (pictured).

They both remain in custody, along with a third Bradford man, aged 21, who has been re-arrested, also on suspicion of murder.

Mr Keita Ann died in hospital three weeks after he and his friends were attacked in Attock Park, Bradford Moor, by a mob brandishing machetes, sticks and baseball bats at about 8pm on August 23.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Scott, who is leading the murder investigation, said Mr Keita Ann was an innocent bystander.

So far, a total of 12 people have been arrested during the police inquiry. Six males, aged between 17 and 32, remain on police bail.

Mr Keita Ann’s sister Danlo Keita Ann and his father Lahami Keita made an emotional video appeal earlier this month, urging anyone with information about the attack to come forward.

The police incident room can be contacted on 01924 821441, via 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
