AN eyesore building in Bradford city centre has been sold at auction.
Grade II listed 20 Quebec Street, behind the former Odeon building, went under the hammer at an auction held by property company Pugh.
The derelict building sold for £70,000 and was described in the auction catalogue as being "in need of redevelopment."
The identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.
Planning permission was granted in 2009 for the 19th century former warehouse to be converted to hot food takeaway on the ground floor, with eight bedsit units to the first and second floors. The work started but was never completed. However, it still remains in place for the building.
At the same auction another building in the area, vacant restaurant 6-8 Quebec Street, failed to sell for its asking price of £250,000.
