A MAN is being treated in hospital for a bleed on the brain and a broken jaw after being assaulted in Bradford today.
Police were called to Kilnsey Road, off Leeds Road and next to Mughals Sweet Centre and Restaurant, at about 1am.
A police spokesman said the victim was a 31-year-old local man who was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary for treatment.
He added: "We got a call to a man with head injuries outside Mughals. He was the victim of an assault in that area."
"He suffered a bleed on the brain and a broken jaw.
"We will aim to further interview the injured party when he is able, to see if he knows the person who did this."
Officers sealed off Kilnsey Road until about 10.15am while investigations into the incident took place.
Any witnesses, or anyone with information, can contact police on 101, quoting log number 89 of October 23.
