MOTORISTS are being warned of delays and disruptions near the Chain Bar motorway roundabout next week.
Work to resurface a stretch of Bradford Road, Oakenshaw, between the roundabout and Wyke Lane will begin on October 24 and last for more than a week.
Drivers are advised to leave extra time for their journey, and if possible use alternative routes.
During the works, temporary traffic lights will be in place and there will be no access on to Bradford Road from Wyke Lane.
Most of the roadworks will take place between 9.30am to 3.30pm, in an attempt to reduce disruption during rush hours.
Kirklees Council expects the roadworks to be completed by November 2, weather permitting.
