A DOCTOR has appeared in court to deny two charges of sexual assault against a female patient.
Dr Fesal Hussain, 32, made a brief appearance at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates’ Court today.
He entered not guilty pleas to two charges of sexual assault on a woman aged 16 or over, alleged to have taken place on July 8 last year.
The court heard that the charges related to medical examinations allegedly performed by Hussain at Bradford Royal Infirmary.
District Judge Richard Clews told Hussain: “These allegations are too serious to be dealt with here, and all future hearings will take place at Bradford Crown Court.”
Hussain, of St Michael’s Road, White Abbey, Bradford, was bailed to appear at Crown Court on November 15 on the conditions he does not contact the complainant in the case, who cannot be named for legal reasons, go within 100m of her address, or enter the grounds of Bradford Royal Infirmary unless in a genuine medical emergency.
