POLICE are hunting the driver of a stolen car who fled the scene of a two-car crash which left a woman injured.

The man was picked up from the scene of the smash, in Gain Lane, Fagley, Bradford, by the driver of another car, leaving the injured woman at the scene.

Emergency services were alerted by a resident who witnessed the accident, which involved a powerful red Audi RS6 car and a Vauxhall Corsa, shortly after 10pm yesterday.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the Audi had been stolen in a Hanoi burglary from a house in Guiseley around an hour before the crash. The property had been entered by forcing a rear patio door.

The spokesman said the Audi driver had made off from the scene, having been collected by a dark grey or black Volkswagen Golf before police arrived.

He is described as an Asian man in his late teens or early 20s.

The woman, who is thought to be in her early 20s, was treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, or the driver making off, to contact them via 101, quoting the log number 1841 of October 15.
