A FESTIVAL in Keighley to celebrate the best in food, drink and entertainment drew the crowds today.

Among the star attractions at Oktoberfest, organised by Keighley Town Council and held at Church Green in the town, was a display of wild birds and a performing clown - but not a scary one!

There was huge interest in the aviary, where families could look at, and even touch, owls, hawks and falcons.

Almost as popular was a local clown, who performed acrobatics and juggling.

There was a foreign flavour to the event with a range of food and drink, including from Greece, France and Spain.

Hennah and face painting, and local singers added to the mix.

Events chairman Luke Maunsell said: "It has all been popular, with huge queues for the aviary. We are delighted it has been a success and we are hoping to do it on a regular basis."
