A WOMAN who stole meat from a Broadway store, while subject to a suspended prison sentence, has been locked up for 16 weeks.
Kelly Walsh, 28, of Parkfield Road, Manningham, Bradford, pleaded guilty yesterday to stealing eight packets of steak, worth £88, from Marks & Spencer, on October 5.
Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court heard Walsh, who was taking class A drugs, was given a 12-week jail sentence suspended for a year last month for shop theft.
She was seen putting the meat in her own bag. She complied with staff when confronted and the goods were recovered.
Walsh made full admissions to police.
The magistrates activated the full 12-week suspended sentence and ordered that the defendant served a further four weeks imprisonment for the new offence.
