BRADFORD’S Digital Exchange will hosting a cutting-edge healthcare technology event with the NHS tomorrow.
The team at Little Germany based Digital Catapult Centre Yorkshire, is inviting digital businesses to a workshop with NHS professionals and specialists in ‘blockchain’ technology.
Participants will work to define NHS data management challenges and explore potential solutions using blockchain, a new way to store data and create software best known as the technology behind the electronic cash system bitcoin.
NHS professionals will be attending from NHS Digital in Leeds, formerly known as the Health and Social Care Information Centre, and Bradford's Clinical Commissioning Group.
Ian Sharp, Head of Digital Catapult Centre Yorkshire, said "This is a ground-breaking event for Bradford and Yorkshire. Blockchain technologies are being widely discussed in London and we want to ensure that we are promoting this type of dialogue in the North - in this case for the benefit of the NHS. We welcome NHS colleagues and digital SMEs to join us."
