POLICE seized a bike that was being ridden around a park after its rider struggled to start the vehicle.
On Tuesday reports were made of a nuisance motorbike being used in the park off West Park Road, Girlington.
An officer attended and saw a group of men with an unregistered pit bike in the park. The person on the bike at that time couldn’t start it and they dumped the bike and ran away.
The bike was seized to be examined to see whether it was stolen and enquiries are ongoing to find the rider.
PC Samuel Brown said: “Members of the public are understandably worried about the use of motorbikes in parks where there are children playing, people exercising and dogs being walked. Please only use motorbikes in suitable locations where you have permission and it isn’t causing a nuisance to other people.”
