FIREFIGHTERS from across West Yorkshire, including many from Bradford, were called to battle a major fire at a commercial garage.
Last night, ten fire engines were called to the blaze at the garage in Huddersfield Road, Mirfield, with further crews providing relief as the night progressed.
The fire started in a car and caravan, but then spread to a garage building and a further four vehicles.
Four firefighters donned breathing apparatus and the crews also used seven large jets, an aerial appliance and three hose reels to get the flames under control.
Crews from Bradford, Odsal, Idle, Fairweather Green, Bingley and Cleckheaton were among those involved in battling the blaze.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
It came just two nights after a fire at another commercial premises on the same road.
On Thursday night, crews were called to the John Cotton bedding company site at Nunbrook Mills, where an external dust silo had caught fire. The company has since resumed work on site.
